25+ years of Brokerage and Trading experience in the energy sector.  Co-founded the largest OTC coal brokerage desk in the United States and launched its expansion into Asia and Europe.   • Led new business development and sales efforts for OTC product offerings in the region.  Responsible for developing tailored transactions to suit specific client needs in the Asia Pacific energy market.
     

  • Managed critical relationships with key regional players, including energy producers, large industrials, global energy merchants, banks, and hedge funds. Advised on the use of risk management tools to allow companies to more effectively manage their business. 
     

  • Leveraged market inputs (risk, production curves, consumption patterns) to develop strategies for trade execution in the region. Provided leadership and daily strategic guidance to a team based in the United Kingdom and the United States.
     

  • Shifted management of China operations to the newly-launched Singapore branch, and further diversified into the Australian, South African, and Indonesian markets. Assessed the viability of expanding commodities portfolio (iron ore, ferrous, LNG, and oil brokerage). 
     

  • Built a profitable business despite significant consolidation in the space and downturn in the market.
